Gladiator Gauntlet is a turn-based fighting game about a short-tempered man who fights his way out of every situation. This is an ongoing project that started development in May 2018, though development has been paused so that I can work on other projects. The most recent version features 5 unique opponents and an endless mode where players can fight the cast of opponents again at random, but at an increased challenge. This allows the player to continue to upgrade their character. This is my first attempt at a large project, and I am proud of my progress so far. Made in Unity.

The game can be downloaded for free here.

Further Development

I had plans to create 25 levels each with a unique character. Over those levels, the main character’s story develop to send a message of how someone can stand up for what they think is right - even if the thought process behind it is purely instinctual. In addition, a store mechanic would be implemented so the player can spend money earned in fights to upgrade their gear. Also, the skill tree would be filled out entirely to give the player more customization in the beginning, and more skills to have overall as they progress. The main reason I am not working on these changes is that there are other projects I want to make, and the changes I want to make could take years that I am not yet ready to give.
